Perhaps you have tried to lose weight before and possibly you have regained the weight, or even put more weight on. We will work with you to set achievable goals for the short term and to enable you to have control over your choices in the longer term.

The World Health Organisation predicts that there will be 2.3 billion overweight adults in the world by the year 2015. Obesity is not just a problem for adults. Obesity among children is concerning experts, who are worried that it will lead to health problems in later life, as overweight people have a higher risk of heart disease, type II diabetes and other diseases including some cancers.

  • About 58% of all adults in the UK are either overweight or obese.
  • Over 230 million people across Europe attempt a diet each year. Less than 2% succeed in sustaining their weight loss for more than one year
  • In the past 10 years it is estimated that about 70% of the adult female population and 30 per cent of adult males have been on a diet. Most dieters end-up heavier than they were before they started dieting.

Research shows that diets make you hungry and generate cravings for the same foods that you are trying to avoid; those containing sugar and fat. People gain weight for a number of reasons, perhaps because they turn to food for emotional comfort or to cope with negative feelings like anger or loss. Dieting does not solve the problem of emotional eating.

We will use a combination of hypnosis, coaching, cognitive behavioural therapy, rational emotive behavioural therapy, transactional analysis and motivational techniques, tailored to suit you and your personal circumstances.

Hypnosis can help you to lose weight naturally and easily, working on two levels. Firstly, it helps you to let go of all the bad habits and false beliefs that stopped you losing weight before. Secondly, and far more importantly, hypnosis helps you to move forward by developing new habits and new beliefs as it works on an unconscious level, the kind of level where hypnotherapy works best. Your weight loss will be natural and part of a plan which takes into account who you are and who you want to be. Through hypnosis we will help you to develop a new self-image. You will still be you, but a happier, healthier and lighter you.
